Thingergy Lore

Gather ’round the fire.

We make things. Sometimes we also eat pizza.

About Thingergy Inc.

Thingergy Inc. was founded in 2010 and is a premier full-service specialty costume, props, FX Makeup, and “maker of things” company. Our versatility of “making things” ranges from 14 ft tall Robot Statues, and flying flame-throwing dragons to armies of costumes for film and even a 40ft long alien esophagus. Our core business is primarily TV, movies, and video game companies. “This isn’t the first time we have done something we’ve never done before.” so nothing is totally off the table or out of the realm of possibilities and that makes us unique in tackling even some of the most challenging projects on crazy timelines.

We pride ourselves on completing projects on time and on budget. To do that sometimes we need more than a talented crew of humans.  Thingergy is housed in a 13,000-square-foot shop in Burbank California and the crew fluctuates from 10-30 depending on workload and projects currently in progress. Our space is jam-packed with really awesome pieces of equipment that are specialized, and unique, and help us complete projects faster and just might be of use to you.

Thingergy balances traditional craftsmanship with technology and specialized tools. We are constantly improving and adding new equipment and technology.

"I make things."

We have made some

really cool stuff

over the years…

What have we made? Well, it could be anything at any given moment and constantly changes with the flow of a project. One minute we might be painting silicone body parts for a horror gag, sanding giant robot pieces, punching hair for a monkey suit, or welding 1,000’s of pounds of metal together for a structure. It’s never a one size fits all or boring around here. One element we try to be consistent about is having fun and keeping the passion of the project going. We are all nerds here in some way or another and sometimes we get jobs that are what we fantasized about as kids. You remember watching that one tv show or playing that one video game you love? Now you’re an adult and getting PAID to make something for it. How cool is that?

Below is a non-exhaustive list of what we have done over the years as a company. I’m sure our Director of Digital Operations did their best to make sure to include everything but after 100’s and 100’s of projects, I’m sure something slipped through.

A super giant list of things we have done
and we probably missed a few...
